Interview with Aïcha Noucti Kadji, Founder of MOA Group
Founder Magazine: Aïcha, thank you for speaking with us. Can you share a little about your background and what led you into entrepreneurship?
Aïcha Noucti Kadji: Thank you for having me. I come from a family of entrepreneurs, and I’ve always been passionate about creating solutions that empower women and youth. I realized that many women in Cameroon have incredible business ideas but lack access to financing, training, and resources. That was the motivation behind founding MOA Group.
Founder Magazine: Tell us about MOA Group. What is its mission and vision?
Aïcha Noucti Kadji: MOA Group is dedicated to supporting women-led small businesses and startups in Cameroon. We provide business training, mentorship, and microfinancing opportunities. Our vision is to create an ecosystem where women are not only business participants but also leaders and decision-makers.
Founder Magazine: What challenges have you faced building this platform, especially as a woman founder in Cameroon?
Aïcha Noucti Kadji: The biggest challenge is access to capital—not just for me, but for the women entrepreneurs I support. Many investors still hesitate to fund women-led ventures. On a personal level, I also had to fight cultural stereotypes. But I believe persistence and results speak louder than any barrier.
Founder Magazine: What impact has MOA Group created so far?
Aïcha Noucti Kadji: We’ve trained and mentored over 500 women entrepreneurs, helped dozens of small businesses access funding, and created a strong network of women leaders who collaborate instead of competing. We are seeing lives changed—families supported and communities uplifted.
Founder Magazine: What are your goals for the next few years?
Aïcha Noucti Kadji: We aim to expand MOA Group across Central Africa, reaching thousands of women entrepreneurs. We’re also working on creating a digital platform to provide remote training and connect women to investors globally.
Founder Magazine: What advice would you give to young women in Cameroon who want to start their own business?
Aïcha Noucti Kadji: Don’t wait for the “perfect” moment. Start small, stay committed, and surround yourself with people who believe in you. Most importantly, believe in yourself—because nobody will invest in you if you don’t first.
